COMPARES
The main activities of the COMPARES project involve:
The creation
of a database for Inishowen on energy efficiency and renewable energy
– including the conduct of our survey and the development of
project
website facilities (website under construction).
The rolling
out of a six-week information campaign from Feb 21st to March
30th), including a series of programmes on ICRfm
and accompanying series of articles in The Inish times, and culminating
in the hosting of an Energy Fair –
which will combine demonstrations and workshops.
The establishment
of a local panel of tourism and energy experts, and representatives
of the farming community, to ensure all relevant interests are represented
on the project. Tourism and leisure industry, academic and council
energy experts and the IFA are all part of this panel, which acts
in a consultative capacity.
The creation
of a network of expertise, through contacts with the Department
of Marine, Communications and Natural Resources; Sustainable Energy
Ireland (SEI), and parallel energy projects.
