The Job Club is for people who are looking for employment. Training and support is provided in developing job-seeking skills. There is a supporting, friendly environment that provides the opportunity to think of skills, explore career options and plan future actions which are realistic and achievable.

The Job Club can build your confidence. Looking for a job is a daunting prospect – What jobs are out there? How do I apply for them? How do I write a letter that shows I have the right skills for the job? How do I fill in the section of the application form that asks why do you want this job? Can I convince an interviewer that I can do the job and should be given the opportunity to prove myself? We can help you to find employment. The Job Club has a good knowledge of local business and can discuss work opportunities with you. The staff in the Job Club can steer you in the right direction towards a job suited to your skills, abilities and interests.

The programme itself is five weeks in duration and participants meet in small groups three or four mornings per week. The Job Club programme is delivered in Buncrana, Carndonagh, Moville and at other venues in Inishowen.

Even if you can’t join a Job Club programme, but need help in designing a C.V. or attending an interview, the Job Club is happy to assist anyone on an individual basis. Simply telephone or call in to make an appointment.

Anyone who needs help in job-seeking can use the Job Club service. It is not necessary to be signing on the Live Register. The Job Club is open to men and women of all ages and all education backgrounds. The service is free of charge.

The Job Club has a register of capable and motivated job-seekers actively looking for employment. We will assist you in identifying the right applicant – those candidates who have the experience and personality for your job.
