PEACE III Cross Border Programmes
Cross border cooperation is vital in the youth work sector and new links with partners in Northern Ireland are being developed on an ongoing basis. These links are crucial to bring about a more peaceful society as well as delivering the message that a greater diversity of cultures and traditions enriches our society. At present, the IDP are offering a number of cross border programmes for young people from both sides of the border. These programmes give the young people an opportunity to meet in a safe environment where they learn about difference, similarities and culture, allowing them to develop respect for each other’s differences while visiting historical/cultural sites on both sides of the border.
